Often referred to as the "Olympics of Dance," the Dance World Cup (DWC) is the world’s most prestigious dance competition. Each year, thousands of dancers from diverse backgrounds and cultures come together to compete in a variety of dance genres. Dancers must progress through local qualifying events in their respective countries, ultimately earning the opportunity to compete at the DWC Finals.

How to Qualify for the Dance World Cup Finals

Each dancer's journey to the Dance World Cup Finals begins with qualifying competitions held in their country of residence. To compete at the Finals, dancers must achieve a minimum score of 70 marks or above during these regional qualifying events. Each country is allowed to submit a maximum of 4 routines per class


Singapore Qualifying Match 2025

As the official organizer of the Asian Regions Qualifier, DWC Asia aims to discover young aspiring dancers and provides a platform to exhibit their talents on a global stage. Our most recent event in June 2024 saw over 400 dancers from Hong Kong, Beijing, Shenzhen, Macau, and Taiwan competing with more than 9,500 dancers from 54 countries at the DWC Finals in Prague, Czech Republic. This experience reinforces our reputation as a leader in orchestrating international dance competitions.

Over the years, DWC Asia has made a significant presence at the finals, representing teams from Greater China with exceptional success. Our dancers have achieved remarkable heights, consistently earning gold, silver, and bronze medals, and some even receiving exclusive invitations to the Grand Final Competition and Gala Performance!

Participating in the DWC is an invaluable experience, a chance to proudly represent Singapore to showcase your skills against world’s finest dancers. Our Singapore Qualifying Match 2025 will be based on the format of video submission. Final deadline of submission would be on 25th March 2025. Award winners of each dance genre qualifiers would compete at the DWC Finals 2025 from 3rd – 12th July in the stunning city of Burgos, Spain

Video Submission Rules and Regulations for Singapore Qualifying Only

1.1 In order to facilitate the video submission progress and reduce the submission cost, the official system for uploading the video files is the same as the enrolment system that you done for the online registration before

1.2 All submitted video must be in following format and condition of filming:

  • To be fair to every contestant, video must be filmed within 6 months prior to qualifying matches. Video which was filmed at the past performance or competition is not accepted.
  • The Judges will focus solely on the actual dance performances. Location or backdrop, no matter how simple, or how spectacular will not affect the judges’ decision.
  • All dance videos will still be arranged to be judged by our Judge Panel in a fair stance.
  • The video must be captured at the front view.
  • The camera must be set on a tripod, remain motionless from the beginning to the end of the dance and film a full view of the stage. (* “Stage” not only refers to a standard theatre stage but wherever suitable for the dancers to perform the dance, will still be counted as a performing stage.)
  • Video editing or audio editing is NOT allowed in the submitted video.
  • NO special effect and dance school identity in the submitted video (Example: Logos, signages, slogans, name or anything similar)
  • Video image must be in "Sharp and Clear" condition, no special effect or camera effect is allowed. (Example: Field of Dept, zoom in or out, fade in or out, pan or tilt)
  • Video formats: avi, mov, mp4, mkv accepted only.
  • Only ONE video submission is allowed per dance.
  • If the submitted video does not match the above condition, the dance will be disqualified.

Entry Fee Payment Details

All the listed prices below are in Singapore Dollars.

REMINDER:
  • Entry can be completed through the Online Enrolment System.
  • Please ensure the details entered in the system are correct.
  • Make copies of the information entered if necessary.
  • All certificates will be issued in accordance with the names entered in the system. (Dancer’s name and Dance title…etc)
  • Music and payment records can be uploaded onto the Online Enrolment System at the time of enrolment.
  • No edit of the entry details, music or payment records will be allowed after the closure of the Online Enrolment System.
  • Competition schedule will be sent to the registered email later.
  • Dancers will not be scheduled for the competition if registration is incomplete (complete registration: enrolment + payment + payment records uploaded + music uploaded)
  • All late registrations, late payments and late music will not be accepted.
  • Any incomplete payment, incomplete payment records or registration information will be treated as an incomplete registration. Any incomplete registration will be cancelled without any refund.
